The Supervisory Board of Netviewer AG has appointed Robert Gratzl to be the company's new Chief Financial Officer.
Best Western Hotels Great Britain, part of the world’s largest hotel group Best Western International, has selected Netviewer’s one2one for remote IT support to increase system uptime for its member hotels and significantly reduce support overheads.
Netviewer Single Event Edition, available from today, provides the ability to deliver presentations with live audio and video, from the desktop of a standard PC, to audiences of up to one thousand participants.
Project management software provider Projectplace and Netviewer, Europe’s leading provider of web collaboration solutions, today announced an agreement to renew their partnership. Netviewer’s latest generation of VoIP and video enabled web collaboration tools will be seamlessly integrated with Projectplace’s service to extend the ability of project management teams to collaborate dynamically using desktop sharing, audio and face-to-face communications.
Global Customer Support at SAP supports more than 42,000 customer organisations that use over 320,000 systems worldwide. To effectively support the customers in a timely and cost-efficient manner, SAP decided to augment the collaboration functions in SAP Solution Manager with Web collaboration tools from Netviewer. When a customer needs assistance, Netviewer enables rapid interaction with the customer by making Web conferences as natural as picking up the telephone.
Netviewer AG will launch significant new services at this year's CeBIT on booth C63 in hall 3. Building on the recent release of Netviewer five (an extensively enhanced version of their award winning web conferencing solution), Netviewer will reveal a portal for interactive live video events, new web extensions and integration with Microsoft OCS. Netviewer will be joined on its booth by its partners: Projectplace, Inneo Solutions, Aviconet, and Samsung who will be exhibiting solutions and products which enhance or benefit from virtual collaboration over the Web.
Following its recent successful funding round, Netviewer has boosted its senior management team and changed its legal structure to become a public limited company. These changes provide the flexibility and expertise the company requires for its next phase of international expansion.
Netviewer has issued the results of a survey into the current and future use of web conferencing technologies by European business. The research, which questioned 332 enterprise IT managers across the UK, France and Germany, shows that time and cost savings are still believed to be major benefits of web conferencing (cited by 82 per cent of respondents) but that the ability to reduce travel requirements thereby cutting carbon emissions is largely overlooked. The UK led on recognition of environmental benefits of web conferencing with 54 percent of respondents citing it as a benefit as opposed to only 37 per cent across Europe as a whole.

Other highlights of Netviewer five are multi-video display, a survey creator, a Skype plug-in, and an individually customisable user interface with floating windows.
Netviewer is continuing to advance its international strategy by establishing two new subsidiaries in Barcelona and Milan. The aim of expanding into Southern Europe is to tap the enormous growth potential of web collaboration locally and rapidly adopt a leading role. Invision Private Equity AG and TVM Capital are taking a €9 million stake in Karlsruhe based Netviewer GmbH, Europe’s leading web conferencing and remote access vendor. The new financing will be used to accelerate international growth and fund further development of Netviewer’s internet-based real-time visual communication tools.

Netviewer has reached the final rounds of the ICT Grand Prize awarded by the European Union: during a tough elimination process, a jury of sixteen selected 20 ICT Prize Winners from 70 nominated companies. EU Commissioner Viviane Reding will present the three ICT Grand Prize Winners at the CeBIT in Hanover on 16 March.
Netviewer now supports Windows Vista. At the CeBIT trade fair, Netviewer of south-western Germany will present the latest updates to its real-time communication solutions Netviewer one2one and Netviewer one2meet (hall 3, booth C63). Other important functions included with this latest version 4.1 include individually configurable system diagnosis and plug-ins for common programs. With these features users can now start sessions directly from another application, ranging from Office applications such as Outlook to programs like MindManager.

Netviewer today announced that it ranked number 9 on the 2006 Deloitte Technology Fast 5005 EMEA, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 2001-2005. Netviewer achieved a growth rate of up to 14,000% during this period.
